Children cannot learn in classrooms where they do not feel safe. The Emotional Support domain of the CLASS® -2nd Edition captures the educator's ability to foster positive interactions, respond to children's perspectives, and create the climate of warmth and security that makes learning possible. It is also the domain most directly tied to long-term outcomes for children.

This training enhances instructors' ability to implement effective teaching strategies to strengthen the emotional climate of their classrooms. Participants explore positive climate, teacher sensitivity, and regard for child perspectives through a variety of modalities. Aligned to the CLASS® framework used in federal Head Start monitoring and grounded in the 2024 Head Start Program Performance Standards.
