CAN'T SURVIVE WITHOUT IT

Jan 18, 2021

Change is inevitable. Growth is optional. – John Maxwell

We didn’t anticipate much of what would happen during this last year and in many ways, maybe we weren’t as prepared as we’d like to be, but some changes needed to happen.  Change is one of those things that people often fight against, but changes actually happen all the time without our permission and even without warning. Seasons change, prices change, technology changes, our bodies change, teenagers experience changes in their voices and policy changes happen in every sector of our world.

One of the worst things that can happen when there is a change is for the change to be rendered ineffective – ultimately when there is no growth.  Change can often be unsettling, but could remaining stagnant and eventually missing the opportunity for sustainability be worse?

Leaders can’t afford to run from the hard stuff, leaders can’t risk settling for comfort.  No matter how difficult the task, leaders have the necessary responsibility of navigating the change process for themselves and their organization.  Some of the most common areas where change management must be implemented is through practices, mindset, timing and structure.  Easy? No.  Time-Consuming? Yes.  Necessary? Absolutely.

Change can position you for ongoing success and reduce risks in a number of areas.  Change is what your organization is crying out for and it is critical to have the insight necessary to facilitate changes in a way that produces needed results.   Even when things are going well, you can never afford to settle for status quo.  Status quo results in more of the same in a world that is evolving at lightning speed.  In fact, status quo is the welcoming committee for a slow and steady death.  Change is necessary and without your organization will not survive.

What change(s) are you putting off that can bring life to your organization and set you up for future success?
